The Value of Success

THE VALUE OF SUCCESS

By Coach Frank Sagasta 2025

Where is value in the life's equation?  What role does value play in the lives of those on this earth? Do you offer successful value to others?  How does value help build lasting relationships?  The word "value" has a difficult time being defined and understood.  Giving value and adding value are words that most people get confused on but if I told that in my case.  I found that it is most effective to give value first.  And to give it without expectation, and give it often, and give it without expectation and give it to those in your environment.  And did I mention give it without expectation?

I started reading and listening to audiobooks in my mid-thirties.  I'm now approaching forty-six this coming Friday, and I am truly appreciative of all the great authors that have come into our house.  I am thankful for those certain authors that left massive impressions upon my heart, mind, and soul.  I have learned much and I am still practicing their strategies today.  Since my mid-thirties, I have managed to read three — four books a month for approximately twelve years now.

I truly enjoy anything on leadership, business, philosophy, psychology, sociology, and neuroscience.

As a fifteen-year educational veteran, many of these books have assisted me on my path of being a better husband, father, teacher, coach, and small business owner.  I genuinely believe that today's readers are tomorrow's leaders, and that learning is genuinely earning.  I wish I could have met the Ohio man that finished his lift with 3599 books.  I wish we could’ve had coffee and talked.  I know for certain there's something special in those that read.  I certainly agree with Bentley Bolen: “Never argue with someone who's TV is larger than their bookshelf.” Of course, one of my favorite teachers, Jim Rohn, said it this way: “Never take advice from someone who's television is bigger than their library.”

I just finished this book before church.  And here are my biggest takeaways: Importance of mindset.  Mr. Anderson highlights the significance of fostering a growth mindset within organizations.  Encouraging employees to embrace challenges, learn from failures, and continuously improve can lead to greater innovation and resilience.  Secondly, leadership and alignment.  Effective leadership is crucial in shaping a successful culture.  Leaders should model desired behaviors and values, ensuring that the organizational vision aligns with employees' goals.  This alignment fosters a sense of purpose and commitment among team members.  Lastly…Collaboration and team trust.  A culture of success thrives on collaboration and trust among team members.  Mr. Anderson argues that open communication, mutual respect, and shared accountability lead to stronger relationships and more effective teamwork, driving overall successes.

So, whats the books name our title you ask... "The Culture of Success" by Steven J. Anderson.  There is true value in what we apply into your magnificent minds and lives.  I hope each of you enjoy the exploration of the natural laws of culture of success, the psychology behind repeated exposure, and how research from acclaimed universities and scientists connects human behavior to culture effectiveness.
